Cebu Blue Pothos — Rare Aroid Vine

About the Plant
The Cebu Blue Pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Cebu Blue’) is a highly sought-after pothos variety prized for its shimmering blue-green leaves. Unlike the heart-shaped foliage of Golden Pothos, Cebu Blue has elongated, lance-shaped leaves with a subtle silver-blue sheen that catches the light beautifully. As the plant matures, leaves may develop dramatic fenestrations (natural splits), giving it a more tropical and sculptural look. This makes it a striking addition to both beginner collections and advanced aroid displays.

Growth Habit

Type: Evergreen tropical vine.

Mature Size: Indoors, vines may trail 4–10 feet; when climbing a support, leaves can grow larger and may fenestrate.

Foliage: Narrow, elongated leaves with a blue-green to silvery cast.

Growth Rate: Moderate to fast under the right conditions.

Care & Cultivation

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to bring out its blue-silver tones. Can tolerate medium light but will grow more slowly.

Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Avoid overwatering — Cebu Blue prefers slightly drier soil between waterings.

Soil: Well-draining aroid mix with added perlite, bark, or coco coir.

Temperature & Humidity: Thrives at 65–85°F and benefits from moderate to high humidity.

Fertilization: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

Support: Allow to trail from a pot or basket, or provide a moss pole to encourage larger leaves and fenestrations.

Pruning & Propagation: Easily propagated from stem cuttings in water or soil. Trim vines to encourage fuller growth.

Our Growing Practices
