Monstera ‘Thai Constellation’ — Rare Variegated Collector’s Monstera

Monstera ‘Thai Constellation’ is one of the most coveted variegated monsteras in the world, celebrated for its creamy marbled and speckled foliage that resembles a field of stars across deep green leaves. This tissue-cultured variety was originally developed in Thailand and is prized for its stable variegation, meaning each new leaf reliably displays unique patterns of cream, white, and green. Its large, fenestrated leaves and celestial pattern make it an instant centerpiece in any collection of rare tropical plants.

Growth Habit

  • Type: Climbing tropical aroid.

  • Mature Size: Can reach 6–8 feet or more indoors with support; leaves up to 18–24 inches wide.

  • Foliage: Large, heart-shaped leaves with fenestrations and creamy-white variegation in marbled and speckled patterns.

  • Growth Rate: Moderate; faster with warmth, bright light, and high humidity.

Care & Cultivation

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong variegation. Too little light may cause leaves to revert or lose contrast. Avoid harsh direct sunlight that can burn variegated areas.

  • Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Keep soil evenly moist but not soggy.

  • Soil: Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix with bark, perlite, and coco coir to promote airflow and prevent root rot.

  • Temperature & Humidity: Thrives in 70–85°F with 60–80% humidity. Consistent humidity encourages larger leaf size and stronger growth.

  • Fertilization: Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer at half strength.

  • Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage vertical growth and mature leaf fenestrations.

  • Propagation: Propagated through tissue culture or cuttings with variegated nodes to preserve coloration.

Why It’s Special
Monstera ‘Thai Constellation’ is admired for its galaxy-like variegation and architectural form. Unlike some variegated monsteras, its coloration tends to remain stable through generations, making it a dependable and visually stunning showpiece for collectors. Every leaf unfolds with its own unique pattern — a living work of art that adds luxury and character to any space.

Our Growing Practices
Most of our plants are cultivated here in the USA, grown from cuttings or tissue culture. This ensures strong genetics, healthy plants, and a reliable source for collectors who want to add rare, tropical, and beautifully variegated monsteras to their collection.
