Philodendron Melanochrysum Variegated

Philodendron Melanochrysum Variegated is an extremely rare collector’s plant that combines the velvety, elongated foliage of the classic Melanochrysum with striking pink variegation. Mature leaves are long, dark green to nearly black with a soft sheen, while the variegation appears as pink streaks, marbling, or patches that contrast beautifully against the velvet surface. Each leaf develops a unique pattern, making every specimen one of a kind.

This philodendron is a climber and will produce increasingly larger leaves when given proper support such as a moss pole. With time, it becomes a dramatic statement plant, capable of reaching impressive size under ideal conditions.

It grows best in bright, indirect light, which maintains strong color contrast and prevents fading of the pink. Soil should be chunky and well-draining, kept evenly moist but not soggy. Humidity above 60% will help protect the delicate variegated sections from browning. Fertilize lightly during the growing season to encourage strong, healthy foliage.
