Philodendron Red Anderson is a rare and unique hybrid created from two highly coveted parents, the Pink Princess and the White Knight. Its foliage displays a remarkable blend of colors, with deep green leaves accented by splashes of white and shades of pink to red, creating a striking contrast. The variegation is highly variable, meaning no two plants look exactly alike.
This variety has a climbing growth habit and will produce larger, more dramatic leaves as it matures, especially when given a moss pole or other support to climb. In bright, indirect light, the variegation develops most strongly, while lower light may result in greener growth.
For best results, grow in a chunky, well-draining soil mix that retains some moisture without staying soggy. Water when the top inch of soil has dried, and provide moderate to high humidity to support both growth and vibrant color. Warmer household conditions will encourage faster development. Fertilize lightly during the growing season to maintain healthy foliage and balanced growth.
All of our plants are propagated and tissue cultured here in the USA in our home lab, ensuring clean, healthy, and carefully grown specimens.
