Philodendron ‘Prince of Orange’ is a colorful self-heading variety named for the bright orange hue of its new leaves. As the foliage matures, the colors shift from glowing orange to coppery tones and eventually settle into a glossy medium green, giving the plant a dynamic, multicolored appearance. The contrast between fresh and mature leaves makes this philodendron an especially attractive centerpiece.

Unlike climbing philodendrons, ‘Prince of Orange’ grows in a compact, upright rosette form, staying manageable in size while producing broad leaves that fan out from the center. This makes it well-suited for desks, tabletops, or bright corners indoors.

It grows best in bright, indirect light but adapts to medium light conditions. Use a chunky, well-draining soil mix that retains some moisture, and water when the top inch of soil is dry. Moderate humidity will keep the foliage looking fresh, but it tolerates normal household humidity as well. Fertilize lightly during the growing season to encourage steady growth and vibrant new leaves.
