Snow Queen Pothos — Variegated Houseplant with Crisp White Foliage

The Snow Queen Pothos (Epipremnum aureum ‘Snow Queen’) is an elegant trailing vine known for its bright white-and-green marbled leaves and crisp, clean variegation. A close relative of the Marble Queen, Snow Queen has a higher proportion of white in its foliage, giving it a frosted, luminous appearance that brightens any indoor space. Perfect for hanging baskets, shelves, or climbing supports, this variety is both visually striking and incredibly easy to care for.

Growth Habit

  • Type: Evergreen tropical vine.

  • Mature Size: Trails 6–10 feet or more indoors; can climb if given a support.

  • Foliage: Heart-shaped leaves heavily variegated with white and light green marbling.

  • Growth Rate: Moderate; slower than Golden Pothos due to higher variegation.

Care & Cultivation

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong white variegation. Can tolerate medium light but may develop more green tones. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch leaves.

  • Watering: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry before watering. Snow Queen is more sensitive to overwatering than darker-leaved pothos varieties.

  • Soil: Well-draining potting mix; adding perlite or orchid bark improves aeration.

  • Temperature & Humidity: Thrives in 65–85°F and moderate humidity; adapts well to most home environments.

  • Fertilization: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer.

  • Pruning & Propagation: Trim to maintain shape or encourage fullness. Stem cuttings root easily in water or soil.

Why It’s Special
Snow Queen Pothos is cherished for its brilliant white foliage and graceful trailing growth. Its variegation adds light and contrast to any plant collection, making it a must-have for both new plant parents and experienced collectors seeking a clean, classic variety.

Our Growing Practices
Most of our plants are cultivated here in the USA, grown from cuttings or tissue culture. This ensures strong genetics, healthy plants, and a reliable source for collectors who want to add rare, tropical, and beautifully variegated houseplants to their collection.
